Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is used during slimming cures of steroids to prevent the atrophy of testicles and inhibit the total amount of secretion of testosterone.
Human chorionic gonadotropin
It is a hormone that can be found only in the placenta of pregnant women. It does not have a significant utility in women’s bodies, but for male athletes it has certain features that are very interesting. It can imitate luteinizing hormone (HL) secreted by the digestive pituitary gland; this is the hormone that gives the signal for the production of testosterone. Male sexual hormones, acting through a negative feedback when they are present in large quantities in the body for an extended period of time, can suppress natural testosterone production in the body and cause the testes to atrophy and lose functionality. By managing a hormone similar to HL, HCG can play the function of the testicles and return them to normal size.
HCG is used for medical purposes in order to induce ovulation or to treat ovarian dysfunction in women, or in order to stimulate the regrowth of testes, when they are not producing enough testosterone, in men. It is also used to treat cases where testicles have not lowered into the scrotum in children or adolescents. As mentioned above, HCG is similar to luteinizing hormone that stimulates testes to secret testosterone and is used by athletes too.
The use of the HCG diet while on testosterone will send a synthetic signal, similar to the one sent by LH, and thus testes will produce testosterone. These do not only help to maintain the size and function of the testicles, but also help them grow to normal if their size has diminished. Especially when the androgenic levels are below the limit (because of steroids), which could have undesirable consequences. The restoration of the normal production of testosterone, as quickly as possible, is crucial at the end of the cure of steroids.
The purpose of the HCG diet is not just to reduce your calorie intake. A good diet is equally important. It looks like the hormone does not work automatically in the body and needs something to activate it. The diet does this by cleansing the body of toxins and other hazardous waste.
Side effects:
You can expect some side effects to an HCG diet. There can be disorientation, agitation, melancholy, and poor water retention. The first three side effects are the result of a substantial decrease in calorie consumption while the last effect is the result of a diet being a detoxification. These side effects will last only a few days and will be mainly mild and insignificant.
