A lot of trends in eye makeup came and went such as heated curlers, growth serums and magnifying mascaras. But only eyelash extensions stood the test of time.

They have a few drawbacks of their own, but considering the enhancement of lashes they offer, no one wants to skip them once they start using them.
After all, it’s really pleasing to wake up with your beautiful lashes already attached to your eyes instead of fake lashes or mascara that you have to apply every morning or before leaving the home.
It should be noted that eyelash extensions should be applied by a qualified and trained eyelash technician. They should not be applied on your own.
It’s interesting to know the process of application of eyelash extensions. Let’s see.
Lash extensions are very carefully applied to your natural lashes (around 80 to 140 per eye) using a specially developed, semi-permanent adhesive that won’t damage or irritate your natural lashes.
Lash extensions are applied only to an existing lash and not to the skin. Although the exact application process may vary from salon to salon, in general it contains the following steps.
1. Evaluation
Before applying eyelash extensions, the lash technician should make you aware of all the risks and benefits of the extensions and also ask you if you have any health condition due to which the extensions may not suit you.
2. Choosing the Length and Curl of Lash Extensions
Your lash artist should take into consideration the look you want to achieve with the extensions. They should ask you if you want a natural look or you want to look glamorous.
Depending on the look you want to achieve, the length and curl strength of the extensions should be chosen so that you’ll get the best eyelash extensions near you like Fancy Lash.
Remember that your technician may finalise 3-4 different extension lengths, for applying longer ones on the outer corners and the shorter ones on the inner sides of eyes.
3. Cleansing of Eyes
Now your lash technician will have you lay down in a comfortable position and then cleanse the eye area to remove any oil, makeup or germs.
It’s recommended to arrive for your appointment without any makeup.
4. Tape and Eye Gels
To prepare your eyes for the application, your lash artist will apply an under-eye gel to your lower lash line so that your lower lashes will be out of the way.
The eye gels will be secured on both sides of the eye with medical-grade tape.

5. Application
Your lash technician will dip the end of each extension in the lash glue using tweezers and then apply it to individual lash.
For a natural look, one extension will be applied to one lash; but for more voluminous look, multiple extensions will be applied to one natural lash.
6. Drying
As such the adhesive dries quickly. Still your lash artist may make you sit for about ten minutes after all the extensions are applied.
Sometimes even a small handheld fan is used to quicken the process of drying.
Once the extensions are totally dry, the under-eye gels and tape will be removed. This process is painless. But if you experience any irritation, you should immediately let your lash artist know about it.
Then your lash technician will brush your lashes with a spooly and bingo, you’re done!
