Had a Miscarriage? This Advice Will Surely Help You

0

1 in 4 pregnant women reportedly gets a miscarriage triggered by any factor. If you had a miscarriage or happen to know anyone who experienced it, that’s when you know how painful the occurrence is. In my opinion, advice only comes to help you deal with the situation, drawing strength from the loss, but it won’t help you in case you don’t apply it to yourself. The truth is- it’s a hard situation, but you must deal with it. Here are a few things that will help you cope with it and eventually move on!

  • It Can Happen To Anyone!

When a woman suddenly gets a miscarriage, it is easy to say- I wish I did this or didn’t do this, but the truth is you had no control over it. Statistics indicate a number of miscarriages that occur during the first trimester and particularly in women pregnant with their first child. The good news is that many of these women are able to have a successful pregnancy afterwards even without medical intervention. Just stop the ‘what ifs’, blaming yourself, or your partner.

  • Be Open to Receive Help

Periods of loss are obviously painful and can easily lead to depression. Instead of locking yourself in the bedroom, go for a Bible study, talk to a therapist, a counselor or opt for a vacation. Talking to someone will help you relieve the negative thoughts and distress you are filled with.

  • Medical Attention

In case you didn’t know, miscarriages also require medical attention. After your D&C or a D&E take any medications provided. Similarly, you will require a   hormone replacement gel STAT. This will help return your hormones to normal because you are no longer pregnant. Apart from that, the gel or tablets will help you retrieve happiness from the jokes or people around you.

On the other hand, women who experience a miscarriage after their IVF treatment should keep in touch with their doctors. Having removed the remnants from your uterus, the fertility expert at the IVF centre in India will reveal the actual cause of the miscarriage after which the next treatment course is planned.

  • Get Physically Active

Hormonal breakdowns plus the mood changes can easily increase the endorphins to help you relax, but you need to play your part. Studies indicate that the hormones released during stress and sadness can cause a variety of health issues when produced in increased amounts. Therefore, go out and take a walk, run if possible, swim to help your body deal with the changes.

  • Stay Positive

It is common that during grief or pain we tend to look at that particular moment and forget the numerous blessings and fruits that await us in the future. Cry, and grieve for a short while as this is part of being human, but look beyond the tragedy. You and your partner are encouraged to plan for the next pregnancy.

All in all, miscarriages occur in women who either get naturally pregnant or through ART approaches. In any case, talk to your doctor to guide you through the period. For the couples undergoing IVF, it is totally unthinkable as your hopes are directly cracked. Obviously, your IVF cost will increase with the next attempt, but the good news is that the IVF Cost in India is certainly affordable when compared with other countries. Simply make a decision to try again.
